Next to our classics Shocking Shorts and B-Sides, we are also presenting you the art of animation with a film programme dedicated to stop-motion. The "Queer Shorts" programme focuses on the lifestyles of people from the LGBT* community. In "Off You Go", we're gonna take a look at our surroundings by showing films from Saxonia, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.

Once more, cellu l’art celebrates its opening night under the cope of heaven – right in the centre of Jena at Faulloch. We’re starting off with fuzzy Stoner Rock Disco by our friends and local heroes Jimmy Glitschy. Furthermore, we show you the interactive film event "Pixie Dust Massacre from Outer Space". The interactive short film show meets Uschi's Trash-Crash-Orchestra in Kulturbahnhof-Event-Cinema. Via extraterrestrial technology, precise calculations, and an unnecessarily complicated (and cute) election system, the audience votes whether the current film be continued or skipped.

For two other programmes we got us some help from the UK and Scandinavia. The organisers of British Urban Film Festival are gonna present a guest programme with and about People of Colour. Last but not least, our good friend Joonas Rutanen, a director from Finnish capital Helsinki, prepared a programme with some of his personal favourite shorts dealing with family matters.
