Filmmaker in Focus Douwe Dijkstra

This year’s filmmaker in focus unites live action and visual effects in a wild mixture that relocates the limits of film. In his retrospective, award-winning Dutch artist Douwe Dijkstra shows us that reality is often more absurd than CGI and that a green screen serves double purpose as a mirror for society, politics, and for ourselves.
